The other color option is shiny black with a matte black interior and top panel. The S340 can be found in two color choices, one of which is a shiny white exterior, with a matte black interior and top panel. NZXT provides us with a very detailed specifications chart that should be pretty easy to follow. We absolutely enjoyed every minute of our time with the Source 340 you are about to see. While none of this is brand new to us, the way in which it is done, presented, and the way it all functions, definitely raises the Source series to an entire new level of features. There are things like a PSU cover, no ODD bays for better water cooling compatibility, and this chassis even takes on the chore of blocking the majority of the wiring from the view through the window once it is completed. However, this time around, the basic concept inside is completely different than any other Source chassis to date.Īs we mentioned, there are quite a few mod friendly ideas packed into this new design. In this Source model, they keep the features that made the Source series such a success in the first place, like pricing, simplicity in design, and a chassis that many will enjoy using. Today, we are going to have a look at the Source 340 that NZXT has sent for us to look at. There are some decent options for even less cash, but if you can stretch your budget a little to snag this case we don't think you'd be disappointed – it's our new favourite entry-level chassis.Popular Now: Scientists release video of 5-foot alligator being cut out of Florida python While acknowledging that it won't be for everyone, we really like the approach NZXT has taken here – the S340 is a stylish, modern chassis with a very attractive price tag. The S340 is also one of the easiest cases to work with we've ever used, meaning its relatively low price is well suited to novice users. By not cramming the case full of drive mounts, many of which will go unused, NZXT has been able to maintain high levels of build quality and optimise its use of space, leaving plenty of room for hardware and keeping the visible internal section wonderfully neat – systems built in here are just begging to be shown off, which is a lot more than can be said for the majority of cases at this price point, and even above it. It may not be the best performing chassis, but it can still tame an overclocked system with fairly little noise output. ConclusionWhile the S340 may be perceived to be lacking in features by some, thanks to the absence of an ODD mount and relatively low count of hard drive and fan mounts, it is inarguably a very well designed case.
